the
Sunrise Rotary’s
launch of Mayor’s Cup T-Shirt Launch
Party on June 9th, it was announced that
the Mayor’s Cup was missing! During
the event, a Pirate was spotted running
across the docks with the cup in hand,
but could not be caught! Since
then he has been spotted in the
following locations:
•
June 17th - On the waters of Lake
Champlain by Sonny Spiegel, the “Grand
Poopba” of the
Naked Turtle
•
June 24th - Running out the door of
Cumberland 12
Cinemas.
•
June 30th - Rumor has it Captain Rot Ary
was caught checking out a 2008 Polaris
Ranger Utility Vehicle on the lot of
Della Motorsports.
Looks like he was looking for a getaway
vehicle
•
June 30th - Captain Rot Ary was spotted
on the 3rd floor of
CVPH
by two nurses who reported to have
spotted him singing an out of tune
lullaby to the newborns causing many of
them to cry...
•
July 1st - The pirate was spotted this
time in the soup section of
Price Chopper filling
the Mayors Cup Trophy with Chowder.
•
July 3rd - He was spotted leaving
Livingoods Restaurant
on Margaret Street with a takeout box
shortly after lunch time...well, at
least he has good taste!
•
July 5th - The Pirate Captain Rot Ary
was spotted at the
Bridge Street
Auction Service’s
Consignment Auction on Sunday
Morning…hopefully he was not putting the
Mayor’s Cup Trophy up for bid!

July 7th -
The
elusive pirate has been seen lurking
around the
Mattress Store located
at Dawns Furniture Gallery on Route 3
looking for a good place to take a
nap...

July 8th -
He has been spotted by Champlain
Centre Mall Security cruising through
the Champlain Centre Mall parking lot in
an Ford F105 from Plattsburgh Ford. They
followed his trail for a while but he
got away...
•
July 9th -
The Mayor's Cup was finally
recovered from the pirate thief during
the
3rd Annual Boat Parade of Lights.
However, the pirate still
escaped...hopefully he doesn't show up
to cause much havoc during the rest of
the Mayor Cup Weekend. |
