The Lake Placid Center for the Arts Film Series continues with The Cove on Friday, March 12 at 7:30pm. In a sleepy lagoon off the coast of Japan, behind a wall of barbed wire and “Keep Out” signs, lies a shocking secret. Under cover of night, fishermen engage in a hunt for thousands of dolphins. The nature of the wok is so horrifying; a few desperate men will stop at nothing to keep it hidden from the world. When an elite team of activists, filmmakers & free-divers embark on a covert mission to penetrate the cove, they discover shocking atrocities are just the tip of the iceberg.
